He held out her hand to her.
"I know you've been having a hard time..."
"But you said you thought I was happy and gotten on..."
"C'mon Kie, you've been crying out. I can disappear again if that's what you want."
"No, don't go. Don't disappear again."
She wasn't ready to lose him again, still she was confused. It felt as though that both the men were on the same tag team. Taking turns to be with her, be nice to her and just as one leaves the other returns.
If only he knew the clanging that went on in her head.
Did she really want him back in her life?
Was he all she made him out to be?
All she remembered him as?
The truth was, even she didn't know. She didn't know whether she wanted him back or if she was ready to move on with her life. With love. She was just happy that he was talking to her again, like nothing happened. Maybe that was for the best, to pretend like nothing happened. To start fresh.
She sat staring at her computer screen, putting her thougths to words. Finding her solace in the rhythmic verses that flowed from somewhere inside.
