Overwhelmed to the point of nervousness - like "will they like my
hair?" or "will they like my clothes?" or "did I put on too much
makeup?" or "do I smell nice?" or "what if theydont like the color of
my nails?" and finally it's "shit, wait, do they even care?"
Have u been like that ..?
Overwhelmed bcos you haven't seen them in a what "seems" like forever.
So you're excited and your heart is pounding and you've got a ditsy
smile which you try, to no avail, to hide. And you fidget while you're
getting dressed and you fidget while you're waiting. And there's a
spring in yr step and nothin anyone will say will dampen yr mood bcos
u've been waiting to see this person ... and now that time is here.
But, WAIT, there's no way in hell you're gonna let the person who
makes you feel this way, see you this way. Like a fool in love. So you
keep a straight face when they arrive. Sometimes you don't even let
the slightest emotion show because if u let one drop out, the dam WILL
explode. You will look like a ditsy fool in love. Like a schoolgirl
with her handsome english teacher, all blushy and giggly. Growup man!
Hence, by the time theloveofyourlife arrives you're paranoid and
nervous. Actually, on the inside you're warm and you're fuzzed up.
You're almost intoxicated by their scent and all you want to do is
throw your arms around them and kiss them and tell them how much
you've missed them.
In the back of your head a voice goes, "But what if they don't
reciprocate?"
Here we go again.
